CEG’s HEART VOICES – PERFECTLY UNCHAINED HEARTS
“Some people search
their whole lives to find what I found in you – LOVE. So where did it all
start, baby?”
This is how he started to tell his love story amidst some
busy symposium times in CEG. For the first time ever, the blog has got narration
from the couple as a whole. Amidst the cute chronicle, situation drove even
more endearing when she corrects him in between and he corrects her with high
point drama live.
“Initially I had a gang of friends in first semester which
had four boys and two girls.”, he started. “As said, first semester gang
sustains long. Surprisingly, she was not one within the gang. She started a
conversation with me in a weird way”, both laughed. “How did she start?” I
asked with lots of eagerness. “It was obvious that I wanted to talk to him and
I just blabbered something that came into my mind. Both of us are common with
our native – Madurai. But he settled in Chennai and I went abroad for my school
studies. So I started with, ‘Madurai la endha area (Where was your place of
stay in Madurai?)’”, she smiled big till her cheekbones hurt. Then came the
typical Whatsapp corners. After some long chats in little hours, I found an
instant spark with her and so couldn’t resist but just bring her into my gang.
She started becoming close with my people. Everything related to me became
mutual to her in very few days. Soon, she became my reason to attend boring
classes. She became my reason to look forward to the next day expecting her
cute pretty smile every day.”
“One day, when there was random thoughts being shared in our
hostel, I just blurted out my reverie, ‘I feel XXX(he) is pretty handsome among
other guys in our class’. There started the mocking session."she said. "I myself revealed
my special likes for her within the gang. Everything seemed to be perfect when
I was with her" he added in between. "Everywhere our eye contacts were noted and people started to
surround us or giggle about us from some distance”, She was stopped by him. “You
know what; I actually enjoyed all that…” She blushed.
Gang outings are mandatory before a couple gets committed
within the gang. “We, means, me and my gang went out for a movie, REMO. And
unexpectedly, we both sat together inside the theatre. We spent some cute time
watching those romantic scenes onscreen. We started feeling that we are much
more than the ‘just friends’ stereotype. As usual, mocking sessions happened
now and then, with an expanded circle each day. One fine day…, both of us sat
in first row, but different column set. I just yelled out for fun, ‘Oyi, Enaku
epo OK solluva (When will you give thumbs up for me?)’. Everybody excluding the
faculty noticed my utterings and her blushes.” He stopped to look if I am
listening. Three of us started laughing for a while.
“I already had a love in school, which didn’t work out for
obvious reasons. She had a huge crush on a guy from her school, which didn’t
get promoted in realistic platform. Maybe, cupid had waited so long to write a
common love story for both of us. We started sharing our personal past lives. I
started telling her everything, even things which I had kept secretive from my
family. What more? This is LOVE, we knew. But, the fear of losing our exquisite
friendship stopped us from confessing. I started texting her whole-heartedly, ‘Enaku
epo di OK solluva’. She used to reply, ‘O varaikum vandhirchu, K vara
maatengudhu da (my mind is ready to utter O. Something stops me from uttering K)’
“, he said. “Wow, really cute..!” I exclaimed.
“Few days passed by with both of us sharing some private
moments. People used to leave us alone even when we are in the gang. When some
other guys come to talk to her, I really get jealous and feel like giving him a
kick. ‘Go away, she’s my girl’. She knew that I get possessive and started
making me more possessive. Girls always like getting more love in the form of
jealousy. That journey, between discovering your love and confessing it is the best
part of any love story”
“That day, October 28th, I badly wanted to propose
her. Near physics laboratory, one of my friend got me a dirty flower from the
vicinity to show my symbol of love. With bad vibes on seeing the flower I just
passed it to my friends, ‘Let me propose without any flower’. That flower just
got passed and passed and finally one more guy from my gang was about to give
it to her. ‘Stop, moron’ I urged. She laughed. Possibly she understood what I
was up for. We just started walking. Before she reached her hostel, I said, ‘I
love you. I just can’t resist to face a life without you by my side’. ‘Just
think about our background. Won’t studies get affected?’ she listed all such
obvious excuses. ‘Sollu sollu, epdyu OK solliruva (Whatever be your reasons, I
know you love me, I’ll wait for you to confirm it)’ said my insight. I started
plucking flowers near her hostel. Remembrance to Varanam Aayiram is obvious to
come..! Before she went inside her hostel, I made an official romantic proposal
with my whole gang surrounding us. She just got the flowers and went inside the
hostel. This was followed by Diwali weekend scenes. I kept on spamming her with
‘Enaku epo OK solluva’ text. The start of the next week, became the most
beautiful day of my life. She tried to surprise me, in vain, The failed
surprise became the success of my love. ‘Enaku epovo OK da (It’s a yes for me,
long back)’, she said in the gallery, waiting for my arrival after the classes got over. The best dialogue ever”, he ended with a huge sigh. The couple
blushed.
“Lots of silly cute fights, lots of care. A feel that
somebody is always there to care for me, makes me overcome all my hurdles. Our
parents have had love marriage, but both our families are against love.
Whatsoever the future has for us, we are ready to face it together, simply
to-get-her” he finished. “Wish you all good fortune”, I said.
“Love is when the other
person’s happiness matters you much more than yours”. Had an oppourtunity to just
watch it happening..! ‘Writing is just a blessing that you seek in very rare circumstances. Glad that I get one through this blog’
